My DotA Tips for Azgalor – The Pit Lord

One of the many regents of Lord Archimonde who became stranded on the physical plane after the Legion fell in Kalimdor, the devil Azgalor’s love of destruction allowed him to accept the Lich King’s invitation to help lead the Scourge in conquest with few regrets. After all, this Pit Lord is happiest when he conjures fire to scour his opponents from above, roasting the slowly as the dead literally explode from beneath their feet. With such hateful power in the hands of a monster such as this, it’s no wonder he inspires so much terror as he roams across the battlefield.

Firestorm, a fire that injures enemy units within an area, can effortlessly increase your gold especially when the skill maximizes to level 4. In addition, this skill is best in pushing and anti-pushing. Using firestorm is so frustrating when attacking an opponent because it is just easy to avoid. But if that’s the case, you can use Pit of Malice skill, a deadly pit that makes a unit unable to move within the area.

Pit of Malice is very useful in blocking enemy creeps or opponent heroes from pushing and escaping however, they can’t get any damages from it. Another anti-pushing Pit Lord skill is Expulsion. I use to cast this skill near the tower or when an opponent tries to defend/attack the tower. Dead units within the spell-casted area will explode which can cause damages and mini-stun nearby foes. However, this skill becomes useless without corpses.

Dark Rift, Pit Lord’s ultimate skill is the most surprising attacks. It can teleport you and your nearby allies into a targeted building or unit. Your opponent will not notice this when you use such skill. So when you use Dark Rift to attack your opponents with a surprise, cast Pit of Malice at once in order to stop them from running away.

These are my set items for Pit Lord:

1. Boots of Travel – enables him to move faster and extra teleport.
2. Linken Sphere – more mana and negates a targeted spell.
3. Sange and Yasha – gives extra movement speed and attack speed. The orb effect of this item slows movement speed of your opponent
4. Shiva’s Guard – more mana, armor and slows enemy nearby.
5. Heart of Tarrasque – additional health and strength
6. Radiance – additional strength and damages nearby enemies

With these items, I don’t think you’re opponents can escape you. If you have better suggestions for my Pit Lord build, just leave your comments. Thanks!

Rattletrap, The Clockwerk Goblin - DotA 6.53

The first official simultaneous multi-lingual DotA map version 6.53 is now downloadable and added a new Sentinel Hero, Rattletrap - The Clockwerk Goblin. The by-product of Goblin technological weapon research during the old War, Rattletrap the Clockwerk Goblin was shut away into storage for countless decades until the Sentinel found and reactivated him.

Combat-wise, this strength-type goblin’s capabilities know few bounds; his body is stocked with a huge array of armaments that destroy both near and far targets with no difficulty. His trademark wrench can even extend itself like a grappling hook, allowing him to pick off individual targets with pin-point accuracy.
