David Cook’s winning song “The Time of My Life” dominates the music charts like iTunes Top 10 Songs, Billboard Hot Digital Tracks chart and Billboard Download Charts (MTV) with more than 236,000 downloads. Here’s the latest iTunes Top 10 Songs chart in US:

1. David Cook – The Time of My Life
2. Coldplay – Viva la Vida
3. Katy Perry – I Kissed a Girl
4. Rihanna – Take a Bow
5. Natasha Bedingfield – Pocketful of Sunshine
6. Leona Lewis – Bleeding Love
7. Lil Wayne feat. Kanye West – Lollipop (Remix)
8. Lil Wayne – Lollipop
9. Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake & Timbaland – 4 Minutes
10. Lil Wayne feat. T-Pain – Got Money

America has really chosen a deserving American Idol Season 7 winner, but still, some say that both David’s were winners. I totally disagree! David Cook is really far beyond compare with David Archuleta because David C can sing any kind of song. Do you remember the Broadway Theme during American Idol? It was a stunning performance and I was even more impressed. I’d never thought that he could sound like Josh Groban at that moment. He really can sing anything. If you’ve missed the Broadway Theme, you can listen or download David Cook’s studio version, Music of the Night, here on my blog. I hope you like it as much as I do.

The Time of My Life is the winning song in the American Idol songwriting competition performed by American Idol Season 7 winner David Cook.

For me, David Cook sounded like Ronan Keating here, but nevermind, I still love the song. You can download or listen David Cook's The Time Of My Life.

So, here's the lyrics:

"David Cook - Time of My Life"

I’ve been waiting for my dreams
To turn into something
I could believe in
And looking for that
Magic rainbow
On the horizon
I couldn’t see it
Until I let go
Gave into love and watched all the bitterness burn
Now I’m coming alive
Body and soul
And feelin’ my world start to turn

And I’ll taste every moment
And live it out loud
I know this is the time,
This is the time
To be more than a name
Or a face in the crowd
I know this is the time
This is the time of my life
Time of my life

Holding onto things that vanished
Into the air
Left me in pieces
But now I’m rising from the ashes
Finding my wings
And all that I needed
Was there all along
Within my reach
As close as the beat of my heart

And I’ll taste every moment
And live it out loud
I know this is the time,
This is the time to be
More than a name
Or a face in the crowd
I know this is the time
This is the time of my life
The time of my life

And I’m out on the edge of forever
Ready to run
I’m keeping my feet on the ground
My arms open wide
My face to the sun

I’ll taste every moment
And live it out loud
I know this is the time,
This is the time to be
More than a name
Or a face in the crowd
I know this is the time
This is the time of my life
My life
More than a name
Or a face in the crowd
I know this is the time
This is the time of my life.
This is the time of my life.
My life
The time of my life
The time of my life.

David Cook, American Idol 2008

With more than 12 million votes out of the record 97.5 million cast by viewers and America has decided to cast their votes to David Cook. My voting poll, "Who's going to be the next American idol 2008", here on my blog exactly matches on the final result. David A got 25% while, David C got 75% of votes here on my poll.

The voting results on American Idol 7 Finals Night did not matched with what the judges had said and I really really disagree that 3 songs which David Archuleta performed last night knocked out David Cook's performance. Also, I hated the way Randy Jackson giving out comments on David A because he's so exaggerated and it felt like he's trying to promote or convince America to vote for him. Reality check, David A's songs were so boring and forgettable unlike David C's performance, it totally rocked the stage. David Cook's 2nd song entitled "Dream Big" was my most favorite performance and loved the lyrics.

I just saw this David Cook's Always Be My Baby Mp3 on my desktop. I believe my sister left this intentionally, so that I may able to listen this studio version. I'm a fan of this 25 year old, David Cook since Top 10 of American Idol Season 7 for male, as well as Ramiele Malubay for female but she didn't make it to the final. I guess she was struggling in choosing the right song.

By the way, David Cook's Always Be My Baby was sang live during the American Idol Season 7 with the theme of Mariah Carey's songs. I really love his husky voice and he was even compared to Chris Daughtry, an American Idol Season 5 contestant but unluckily his journey ends on Top 4, unlike David Cook, he is now in the final two, together with David Archuleta. So, this is a David vs. David battle.

I'd listened to this song for more than ten times already while writing this blog and I would like also to share this with you. You can listen or download the song so, here's the link: Download David Cook's Always Be My Baby Mp3.

Please leave some comments on what do you think about this song. Thanks!

Ramiele Malubay Goes Home On American Idol 7

Safe American Idol Season 7 Contestants:
1. Michael Johns
2. David Archuleta
3. Carly Smithson
4. David Cook
5. Syesha Mercado
6. Jason Castro

Bottom 3 American Idol Season 7 Contestants:
1. Ramiele Malubay
2. Kristy Lee Cook
3. Brooke White

And the result, Ramiele Malubay ends her journey on the American Idol Season 7... I guess, there is no reason for me to stay watching American Idol too (sob). She have not shown her real statement of song yet because it was Dolly's (country) week or Beatles' week. I have waited for diva's week which is absolutely her genre and it was proven when she sang "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me". Though, she goes home yet still, she's adorable and has a big voice in a small package. I'm hoping that she will have her own album.

By the way, here's what the judges said on her performance "Do I Ever Cross Your Mind":

Randy: "I wasn't jumping up and down. It was kinda alright. 6.5 out of 10."
Paula: "I'm proud of you, I think you had a great minute and 30 seconds."
Simon: "We're not gonna remember this in 10 years. It was cute, forgettable, something reminiscent of what you'd hear on a cruise ship."

Ramiele Malubay's Studio Version of Alone

Last week performance of Ramiele Malubay did not worked out well because she was suffering laryngitis. Here are the judges comments:

Randy = It wasn't the right song choice for me.
Paula = I'm hoping you stay through and keep going, because you're a very big talent in a little small package.
Simon = I didn't think it was as bad as Randy said.

Indeed, she was pitchy at that time when she performed Alone, originally sang by Heart. I even thought that she was at the bottom 3 this week but I'm glad that she wasn't.

Her performance was bad this week (see the video)

However, her performance in the studio version of Alone could have been her shining moments in the stage if no laryngitis. This is as good as Carrie Underwood's. (see the difference in the video)

I hope she can make it to the final. Keep on rockin' the stage Ramiele Malubay!
